True Self Holistic Therapy, LLC, specializes in creating a whole-body healing experience in a safe, therapeutic space. We aim to improve your overall health and wellness through the body, mind, and soul by understanding your life experiences and then properly assessing the best form of treatment for each individual. Our healing methods consist of evidenced based theories and strategies, such as Reiki, Yoga and Guided Meditation.  Tiarra Abu-Bakr 

Tiarra Abu-Bakr is a holistic clinical therapist, educator, and founder of True Self Holistic Therapy. Her work is rooted in decolonizing the therapeutic space and dismantling the ways white supremacy and colonization have shaped our relationships with healing. She weaves ancestral wisdom, liberation practices, and evidence-based care to create spaces where BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other historically marginalized communities can reclaim their wholeness.

With deep reverence for the body, spirit, and community, Tiarra centers practices that restore connection sound healing, somatic work, and collective storytelling while affirming each person’s right to live fully, unapologetically, and free. Her mission is to guide individuals back to their true selves, not as an act of self-improvement, but as an act of resistance, reclamation, and love.

Sheldonna Sutton

Sheldonna Sutton is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an intern therapist with a calling to help others reconnect with their own brilliance. Before answering the pull toward counseling, she built a thriving career in government financial management and served in the U.S. military experiences that ground her in discipline, resilience, and deep empathy.

As the founder of Indigo Wellness and host of the I AM DONNA Podcast, Sheldonna blends creativity, spirituality, and practical wisdom to inspire self-care and personal growth. A certified Reiki practitioner, writer, singer, painter, and budding guitarist, she infuses her sessions with artistry and intuitive energy work, creating a warm, collaborative space where healing feels both sacred and real.

Her counseling style is holistic and strength-based, weaving mindfulness, gentle energy healing, and evidence-based approaches to help clients navigate life transitions, quiet anxiety, and reclaim their inner power. Sheldonna believes therapy is a journey of self-discovery and liberation; a chance to honor mind, body, and spirit and to step fully into the life you were meant to live.

Jazmin Wright

Jazmin Wright is a counselor-in-training and graduate student at Trinity Washington University, bringing over 15 years of experience in the social and human services field. With a strong foundation in serving marginalized populations, Jazmin is deeply committed to providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.

As a mother, student, and active community volunteer, Jazmin regularly engages with youth in low socioeconomic neighborhoods, using empowerment and strength-based approaches to promote resilience and self-worth.

Jazmin believes in meeting clients where they are honoring their lived experiences and embracing a holistic view of healing. Her approach integrates present-moment awareness and alternative therapeutic modalities such as movement, music, photography, and emerging practices in cannabis and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

With an open mind and compassionate presence, Jazmin is dedicated to holding nonjudgmental, affirming spaces where clients can explore their truths and access their innate capacity for healing. Her mission is to support each individual’s journey toward optimal well-being by considering all parts of their identity and life experience.
