Guiding you Towards an Embodied, Liberated and Holistic Life
True Self Holistic Therapy is a wellness driven mental health practice rooted in the belief that healing happens when the mind, body, and nervous system are supported together. We specialize in stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and embodied therapeutic care for individuals and communities navigating the impacts of trauma, chronic stress, and systemic oppression.
Our work centers BIPOC and LGBTQI+ individuals and honors the full spectrum of identities, relationship styles, and lived experiences. We are committed to creating affirming, inclusive spaces where clients can reconnect with their bodies, build emotional resilience, and live more embodied, liberated lives.
We utilize evidence based and somatically informed practices to support healing, including psychotherapy, breathwork, meditation, yoga, grounding techniques, and other body-based interventions. Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and designed to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and internal safety.
At True Self Holistic Therapy, wellness is not about pushing through or performing strength. It is about slowing down, listening to the body, and restoring balance. We believe healing is both personal and collective, and that sustainable well-being is possible when people are supported in honoring their truth, their boundaries, and their capacity for rest and restoration.
Our Mission
To provide inclusive, trauma-informed, and holistic mental health care that supports nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and embodied wellness for individuals and communities. We do so by taking our time to foster strong client-therapist relationships in a non judgmental space. We strongly believe that you are the expert of and in your own life; we are a resource to help you find your way back to the core of who you are.
Our Values
Embodied Wellness
We believe healing begins in the body and honor practices that support regulation, presence, and self-connection.
Liberation & Authenticity
We support clients in living aligned, self-directed lives free from shame, oppression, and survival-based patterns.
Cultural Responsiveness
We center lived experience, identity, and community in all aspects of care.
Inclusivity & Affirmation
We honor diverse identities, relationship structures, and expressions of self.
Sustainable Healing
We prioritize practices that foster long-term wellness, balance, and nervous system safety.
Why We Practice From a Deconstructed Lens
At True Self Holistic Therapy, we practice from a deconstructed lens because many people are not broken.
They are conditioned.
Traditional mental health models often ignore the ways systems such as racism, patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, heteronormativity, and respectability politics shape how distress shows up in the body and mind. When these realities are overlooked, people are taught to internalize survival responses as personal failure.
A deconstructed lens allows us to gently examine what you were taught about worth, safety, love, productivity, and belonging. It helps us separate who you truly are from what you had to become in order to survive. This approach honors that your nervous system adapted intelligently to your environment, even when that environment was unsafe, invalidating, or oppressive.
Client Reviews
“Working with Tiarra, I have experienced more growth and healing in a few months than I have experienced in years of working with other people. She’s extremely understanding and compassionate. Her feedback always comes with gems that will assist your healing even further. I knew I wanted to see changes within myself and working with Tiarra has helped me to get that.”

“Tiarra is a blessing and God sent her to lead me out. With her help I have learned to speak about my feelings and that it is ok to not be ok. When I talk to her I am at peace, no judgement, and she makes me feel free to laugh and cry. She is amazing with children and has helped my daughter overcome some really tough times. She is one of the best and I look forward to so many more years with her because she cannot get rid of us.”

“Tiarra helped me navigate the pain of grief with the passing of my father. She equipped me with the mental tools to be ok with NOT being ok sometimes. She also guided me towards the realization that problems I thought were small and ignored, were worth taking a second look at, in order to grow. Tiarra is an excellent therapist who will help you understand your Self Worth, realize that you have a voice and remember that you matter.”
